Dr. Henninger was born in Tennessee. He attended the Baylor School of Chattanooga where he excelled in academics, and earned a varsity swimming scholarship to the University of South Carolina. Once he completed his undergraduate degree in Biology and Chemistry, he began his dental degree at the Medical University of South Carolina in Charleston. After receiving his dental degree, Dr. Henninger completed a one-year General Practice Residency at the Camp Pendleton Naval Hospital that focused on oral surgery, dental implants, and dental sedation. Once complete, he was assigned to the USS BOXER, where he provided care to 1200 sailors and 3000 marines while deployed. Dr. Henninger deployed in 2008 as a part of Mission Continuing Promise, and 2009 in support of Operation Enduring Freedom.
